CarRev Terms Version 2026-10-04.1 — Updated 4 October 2026 Pre-launch: full operator identity and public service address still require confirmation. 1. Who these terms cover These terms apply to the CarRev website and mobile app, operated by Alessio, an independent developer based in Italy (the Operator). CarRev is a community for car enthusiasts. Contact support@carrevapp.com for service questions and privacy@carrevapp.com for privacy requests, and management@carrevapp.com for legal notices, complaints and appeals. Operator identity and service-address disclosures are being finalized before general public launch. These terms cover features when they are available, including profiles, garages, posts, comments, messages, events, marketplace listings, live-location sharing and calls. A description of a planned feature is not a guarantee that it is currently available. The launch is intended for the United States and Europe. Availability and paid offerings may differ by country and platform. 2. Age, eligibility and agreement You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these terms to create or use a CarRev account. Do not create an account for a person under 18 or misrepresent your age. CarRev is not intended for children. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may restrict access and arrange deletion or other action required by law. Before completing signup, you must actively confirm that you have read and agree to these terms, acknowledge the Privacy Notice, and confirm that you are at least 18. Optional cookies and future marketing permissions are separate choices; accepting these terms does not authorize tracking, location sharing or advertising profiling. Social-login users must complete this step before accessing protected website or app screens. 3. Accounts and security Provide accurate account information and use a username that does not impersonate another person or infringe rights. Usernames are unique without regard to letter case. Keep sign-in credentials private and notify support promptly about unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize, but these terms do not make you responsible for losses caused by our legal breaches or failures for which the law makes us responsible. You can correct profile details through your account. Do not evade suspensions, automate abusive signups, compromise another account, scrape private information, bypass access controls or interfere with the service. Good-faith security reports can be sent privately to management@carrevapp.com; do not access or disclose other people's data. 4. Your content and the permission you give us You retain ownership of your posts, photos, videos, messages and other content. Only upload material you have the right to use and share, including necessary permissions from people shown or heard and rights to music, photographs, logos and other protected material. You grant the Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, transmit and display your content only as necessary to operate, secure and provide CarRev according to your sharing choices, and to use service providers for those purposes. This is not a sale of your content or a general license to use it in unrelated advertising. Any separate promotional use requiring permission will be requested separately. The license ends when the relevant content is deleted, except for limited backup retention, legal preservation, dispute resolution or copies others have lawfully shared or retained. Removing your account cannot remove screenshots or copies outside our control. Private messages are not represented as end-to-end encrypted. Do not send passwords, identity documents or sensitive information through public posts. 5. Community rules Do not post or facilitate threats, harassment, stalking, doxxing, hate directed at protected groups, fraud, scams, impersonation, exploitation, child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate content or sexual deepfakes, unlawful discrimination, terrorist activity, or other illegal activity. Do not disclose another person's precise location, private contact details or identifiable vehicle documents without a lawful basis. Do not use CarRev to organize illegal racing, dangerous road stunts, impaired driving, trespassing or evasion of law enforcement. Do not publish deceptive listings, stolen goods, counterfeit parts, prohibited weapons, controlled substances or unlawful services. Respect intellectual-property rights. Clearly disclose paid promotions, sponsorships and other material commercial connections in your posts. 6. Driving, location, calls and real-world safety Use CarRev only when it is safe and lawful. Drivers must not interact with the screen, type messages, record content or operate calls while this would distract them or breach local rules. Stop safely or ask a passenger to operate the app. Follow traffic laws, licensing, insurance, event rules and road conditions; never rely on social activity or app content as permission to drive dangerously. CarRev is not an emergency service, navigation guarantee, vehicle inspection service or source of professional mechanical advice. Location and event information can be delayed or inaccurate. Call local emergency services directly when needed. Location sharing must be a separate, deliberate choice, subject to device permissions. Review the intended audience before sharing and stop sharing when you no longer want it. A previous location can remain visible briefly while presence expires. Do not secretly track anyone. Calls, audio and recordings must comply with applicable consent and recording laws; obtain all required permissions. Terms acceptance is not consent to record a call. 7. Events and meeting other users Unless expressly identified otherwise, events and drives are organized by users or third parties, not by the Operator. Organizers must provide accurate details, obtain permits and permissions, explain charges and cancellation conditions, and comply with safety and accessibility obligations applicable to them. Use judgment before meeting anyone, inspect conditions, choose appropriate public meeting places and do not share more location information than necessary. CarRev does not guarantee another user's identity, qualifications, insurance or conduct. Nothing in this section waives responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded. 8. Marketplace and business accounts CarRev listings connect users; a listing alone is not an inspection, certification, warranty, escrow arrangement or guarantee by CarRev. Unless the purchase screen expressly identifies the Operator as seller, the sale is between the buyer and the listing's seller. Do not pay for a product without checking the seller, title, condition, safety, delivery and payment arrangements. Sellers must accurately state whether they act privately or as a business, disclose material defects and required product-safety information, hold the right to sell the item, and comply with applicable tax, consumer, licensing, recall and product-safety rules. Business sellers must provide the trader identification and contact information legally required. Mandatory buyer protections may apply to trader sales; private sales may have different protections. A badge is not a guarantee of product quality or safety. 9. Paid plans, renewal and cancellation Free accounts do not require a paid plan. Before a paid purchase, the checkout must show the applicable price, currency, taxes, billing frequency, service and renewal conditions. Only the price and offer actually displayed at checkout govern that purchase. Recurring subscriptions renew at the disclosed interval unless canceled. Website subscriptions can be managed from Account > Subscription; store-billed subscriptions must be managed through the relevant app store. Canceling renewal generally keeps access through the paid period. Deleting an account is a different action and does not by itself cancel an external app-store or Stripe billing agreement. Cancel paid plans before account deletion and contact support if billing remains active. We will not impose blanket 'no refunds' rules that override mandatory rights. EEA consumers may have a statutory withdrawal right, commonly 14 days for distance contracts, as well as remedies for services that do not conform to the contract. Relevant exceptions and any lawful request to begin performance early must be explained and agreed separately where required; these terms alone do not waive withdrawal rights. Use the withdrawal option on the Contact page or email support@carrevapp.com with your account email, purchase details and an unambiguous withdrawal statement. App-store purchases may require using that store's refund process, without reducing mandatory rights. 10. Advertising and third-party services The Operator plans to fund CarRev partly through advertising. Advertising and sponsored content must be identified as such. User data is not sold for advertising, and behavioral advertising analytics are not currently planned. Contextual advertising may be introduced after reviewing the provider's actual data practices and updating notices and choices where needed. Third-party advertising SDKs must not be enabled merely because you accepted these terms. Supabase, hosting providers, payment processors, app stores and sign-in providers may process information needed to provide their services. This necessary service-provider processing is different from selling data for advertising. Linked websites and transactions with third parties have their own terms and privacy practices. We remain responsible for obligations the law places on us. 11. Reports, illegal content and urgent image removal Anyone may use the Report content page, without creating an account, to report illegal content, copyright issues or non-consensual intimate images. Provide the exact content URL or identifiers, the reason for the report, relevant facts, contact details where required, and a good-faith accuracy declaration. Do not attach or redistribute illegal images. Report immediate danger to emergency services. For an intimate-image removal request, identify the image, where it appears, the person depicted, whether you act for that person, and a statement that publication was not consensual. Include your full name as an electronic signature and a contact email. Valid requests covered by the US TAKE IT DOWN Act require removal of the content and known identical copies within 48 hours. The Operator must monitor these requests and comply with applicable deadlines. Copyright notices should identify the protected work, the allegedly infringing material and its location, your contact information, your signature, a good-faith belief that use is unauthorized, and an accuracy/authority statement under penalty of perjury where required. Send legal notices to management@carrevapp.com or the reporting form. A formal US DMCA agent registration and public agent details must be completed before claiming that safe harbor; these terms do not create that registration. 12. Moderation, restrictions and appeals The Operator may investigate reports and restrict content or accounts proportionately for illegal activity, breaches of these terms, security risks, or legally binding orders. Depending on seriousness, measures can include warnings, limiting visibility, removing content, temporary restrictions or suspension. Considerations include severity, harm, context and repeated breaches. Decisions should be reviewed by a person; no automated moderation decision system is represented as operational at launch. Where required, affected users will receive the reason, relevant rule or legal basis, and available challenge routes, unless disclosure is unlawful or would compromise an investigation or safety. Use the Appeal category on the Contact page with the decision or content identifier and your explanation. Repeated infringement or repeated abusive notices may lead to proportionate restrictions. Access to courts, regulators and applicable statutory redress remains available. 13. Privacy, requests and ending your account The Privacy Notice explains the information used by CarRev, purposes, service providers, choices and rights. Use Account > Privacy & data to obtain an export of website account data or submit a request for correction, deletion, access, portability, objection or restriction. People without an account can use the public Contact page or privacy@carrevapp.com. Identity or authority may need to be verified before private data is disclosed or deleted. You can stop using CarRev at any time and request account deletion. The Operator may retain limited records when needed for legal obligations, security, unresolved disputes or enforcing legitimate rights, and must explain applicable exceptions. Some backend app data may require a separate verified search and deletion; an account export must clearly state its coverage. 14. Service changes and responsibility We aim to keep CarRev available and secure, but cannot promise uninterrupted access or that third-party content is accurate. We may change features or take the service offline for maintenance, safety or legal reasons. Material adverse changes to a paid service must be handled consistently with applicable notice, cancellation, refund and conformity rights. To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not responsible for losses caused solely by independent users, third-party sellers or events outside reasonable control. No provision excludes liability for fraud, intentional wrongdoing, gross negligence where exclusion is prohibited, death or personal injury caused by negligence where protected, or other non-excludable rights. Consumer statutory guarantees and remedies always prevail. These terms do not impose a general consumer indemnity or require waiver of class actions or mandatory arbitration. 15. Changes to terms and disputes The version and date appear on this page. Material changes will be notified in an appropriate way before taking effect where required, and a fresh acknowledgment may be requested. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights or silently expand content or advertising permissions. Please contact management@carrevapp.com to try to resolve a dispute. Consumers keep mandatory protections and access to courts and regulators available under the law of their habitual residence. No foreign-law or forum clause in these terms removes those protections. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply to the extent permitted by law. 16. Apple and Google distribution Where obtained through an app store, your use is also subject to that store's applicable distribution and usage rules. The agreement for CarRev is with the Operator, not Apple or Google. To the extent required by Apple's applicable standard minimum terms, Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for CarRev; the Operator is responsible for applicable product claims and support, and Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce the applicable end-user terms as third-party beneficiaries. Statutory consumer remedies and app-store refund rights remain unaffected. Use the app only on devices you own or control as permitted by the store's rules. Comply with applicable export and sanctions laws. Additional store-specific disclosures, purchase terms and license requirements must be reviewed when the final App Store and Google Play listings are submitted.
